Cathedral Scholars
The congregation supports youth education programs as the needs arise. One ongoing initiative is to assist the Cathedral Scholars summer youth education and leadership program, created in partnership with the D.C. Public Schools. It endeavors to better prepare students for post-secondary education, provide a supportive learning environment, and provide skills for leadership in their schools and communities. Volunteers are needed to help with fundraising and in finding five-week summer internships. Students attend morning classes and then proceed to work internships to gain valuable experience and contribute their skills. Program employers are encouraged to pay at least minimum wage.
