Special Program

Practicing Presence with Mindfulness
led by Meredith McEver

Feeling the presence of God is often as much about being in the present moment as it is about recognizing the presence of Holy. For some of us, much of our day is spent either worrying about the past or thinking about the future, rather than being present in the here and now. Join us for an hour of various mindfulness meditations that show us what it feels like to be in this moment and notice the difference that practicing the presence can make in your life.

Meredith McEver is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who specializes in helping children and adults reach their full potential through meditation, creativity, and exploration of thoughts and feelings. She had led mindfulness and creativity groups for many organizations including Alexandria Drug Court, Fairfax Hospital Life With Cancer, ADAMS Center Mosque, Fairfax County Schools, Arlington County Violence between Intimate Partners Program, Howard Hughes Medical Center, Fairfax County Department of Family Services and the Dwelling Place.
